Cozy Cabin Located at the Gateway to Nature's Mountain Playground

THE REALLY IMPORTANT DISCLAIMERS

While Space to Breathe is easily accessible and I work remotely from here on a regular basis, there is no cell phone reception at the cabin. The cabin has DSL internet via Frontier. If you have cell calling over WiFi (make sure you enable it before you leave home), you can sometimes get a clear call out, but usually calls are less than optimal. There is DSL phone service at the cabin so you are reachable. There is a SMART TV and DVD player along with an assortment of DVDs but no cable. There are books and games. There is peace and quiet and time away from always being on and connected. If you need a break, this is the place for you. If you need to be connected 24/7, you might find it a little too remote.

The driveway is roughly 1000 feet of gravel road up an incline. I drive a Mazda Miata MX5 and have no problem getting to the property unless there is snow on the ground. If there is snow, I drive my 4x4 pick up. Motorcycles have accessed the property but riding from the base of the driveway to the cabin is solely at your own risk due to soft gravel and ruts. My support staff tries to have the driveway cleared when it snows, but the population of Pocahontas County is very small and everyone is spread out. Sometimes it takes a day or two for the provider to get to the cabin; therefore, I strongly encourage you not to rent during the winter if you do not have 4-wheel drive and chains and are comfortable using both. There are no refunds for not being able to reach the cabin. If in doubt, please consider other accommodations. You can see videos of the driveway on the YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channe...

There is support staff in county for emergencies, but it will take time to reach them and for them to get to you if there are any issues at the property. I use the property on a regular basis, so I try to make sure that it is well maintained, but the unforeseen does happen.

None of this is to discourage you from visiting Space to Breathe (I would live here full-time if my job allowed), but I feel strongly that transparency is a must.
